About this treatment
For scaling we primarily use ultrasonic technology, complemented by hand instruments.
The procedure can be carried out under local anaesthesia — that depends on the amount of tartar and on how sensitive your teeth are. With small deposits anaesthesia is usually unnecessary, but for very sensitive teeth we recommend it for comfort.
After cleaning we polish the teeth with a special paste. The smooth surface this creates is not only better aesthetically, it also makes home cleaning more effective.
